Are you a stay at home mom that is looking to bring in an extra income?  Do you know that you can make money by opening a daycare?  You already have the resources, so opening a home based daycare business would be the most logical answer to your money troubles.   And a great benefit is that you can work right out of your home and decide what your hours of operation will be.   It does not take a lot of work to get your daycare business off the ground.   Start off by contacting you local state childcare authority.   Every state has one and you should be able to locate the nearest office in your local yellow pages or phone directory.   Your goal is to inquire about the local laws that govern how many children you can watch at on time and if there are any benefits to getting a license through the state.   Licensed providers can get meal vouchers for free lunches for the children and have more flexibility to charge a higher price. Do some research in your area about the childcare situation in your area.   Are other providers struggling to locate children or are they over saturated to the point that they are turning potential customers away?  You could inquire about what prices they are charging to make sure that you are pricing your services competitively.   You may have a hard time finding a provider to talk to you.   What I suggest is just going up to one or two providers and just ask for information.   You will be able to tell if they are doing well by the number of children that they are watching when you get there.   There pricing should be included in any information packet that they give you. Prepare for opening day.   It is now time to start advertising your new daycare services.   Print out fliers and post them at your local supermarket.   Also let your friends in your neighborhood know that you have just opened a daycare.   They just may know someone that is looking for a new daycare provider. You can definitely make money by opening a daycare if you do your homework and stay determined to make it a profitable business.

There is no doubt about the fact that gas prices are going up-and fast. Unfortunately, the cost of gas is one of those things that the little people can't do anything about, short of voting the right people into and out of government seats. Even that is a slow process, and change is not certain; for this reason, people must take control of their own finances and their own gas use and find more affordable ways of getting around. For some people, this is public transportation; for others, it is carpooling. For an ever increasing number of people out there, that affordable method of transportation is a motorcycle.

The cost of gas prices is more than some people can handle; those with the right weather and the right type of driver's license can easily hop on their bike and cut the cost of transportation down by more than sixty percent with some bikes, the type of savings that more people wish they could be part of.

If you don't have a bike, you might want to consider looking into one. If you don't have the appropriate license to operate a motorcycle, taking the necessary classes and paying the necessary fees can certainly pay off; in this case it is sooner rather than later.

When it comes to riding a motorcycle to save money on gas, there are some exceptions to this rule. Obviously a family of four is not going to be able to get around on a motorcycle, and that may not be the best way of transporting your little one back and forth to daycare. Outside of such instances, so long as you are being safe, doing things legally, and exercising caution on the roads, riding a motorcycle is a fabulous way of saving some money on gas and having some fun at the same time.

If you are one of those people who crave the thrill of the open road and the wind in your face and you are sick of the ever increasing cost of commuting, invest in a motorcycle! Sure, there may be some days where you won't be able to ride your bike, whether it is due to family obligations or weather issues, but the fact remains that the difference between 50 dollars to fill up and 15 dollars to fill up is too good to pass up. Fight back against the increasing cost of fuel and add your two cents into saving the environment-ride a motorcycle!

Worried the cost of motorcycle insurance might outweigh the savings? Think again. You can find competitive insurance motorcycle quotes all in one website. Go to www. insurancemotorcyclequote. com for your next bike quote.

1. Choose a tangible item for the funds to buy: You'll have a much easier time getting parents, employees, children and the community concerned, if you choose a project or item to be purchased with funds collected. Games, toys and furniture for new classrooms are often the items purchased through fundraising. If you do not communicate how you will use the funds, you might have trouble getting parents and the community participating in its fundraising efforts. 2. How to choose the method of fundraising: Not all fundraisers are created equal. You must decide which method is best for you based on factors such as the amount of time you have, if people are willing to help, their participation in the community, and the amount of money required to mount. Candy Bars / Suckers: Benefits include being inexpensive and easy to sell. Cons include the need to sell land to raise enough money to make major purchases. They also have to purchase the items in the table. Catalog: Pros - Usually, a lot of variety in products for sale with a range of price options. There is also potential for higher income with this method in general. The disadvantages include the need to deliver items purchased at a later date and some of the items for sale may not be of the highest quality. Off-Books: Benefits - There is the possibility of increased revenue per item and books can be delivered immediately upon purchase. Cons - Many other organizations will be selling books at the same time and the coupons can not please everyone. Fundraising time events (like dinner or a lot): Advantages - This method is usually the best income potential with the possibility of community. Cons - A fundraising event usually requires more work and higher costs in advance. 3. Offer a reward: Consider offering a reward for the parents and used to help raise as much money or sell the most products. For example, offer a free week of child care for parents to win and a bonus to a worker who earns money. These prices represent an incentive to promote the highest level of participation. 4. Keep everyone updated: create a way to keep parents, staff, children and the community informed of its progress. For example, you can send a newsletter or create a giant thermometer on the wall color and the extent to raise more funds. These updates will help keep everyone involved in their fundraising goals are met. 5. Say "Thank You" After reaching their fundraising goals and the purchase of new playground equipment, make sure everyone knows how much you appreciate their help. You can do something as simple as writing a thank you note or as complex as planning a dinner for those who helped organize the fundraising event.

With 10 nurseries in your area, it is necessary to adopt a strategy that ensures you stand out from the crowd and continue to operate a nursery sustainable and profitable. So what is the best strategy? The key word is differentiation. To begin, you should gather as much information as possible about your competitors, how many nurseries are in a 500 meters away from you, know what their costs, number of children in their care and services they provide. In this context, consider how you will differentiate. Sop What is the difference? Differentiation is creating a product or service is perceived as unique by the customer. Here are some possible strategies, one strategy is to extend its hours to accommodate parents who must work late. You can also try to offer better food, the development of better programs, or even make a small proportion of children attendant need. All these are excellent strategies to ensure that differentiate themselves from their peers and, if successful, will help foster loyalty and contribute to customer loyalty. For such strategies to succeed, it usually involves a significant amount of costs, additional overheads for the extension of hours and the relationship between child's physician and low cost of additional operations to develop a curriculum and provide a good quality meal. Although these strategies are very well could be overwhelming for a new start. So what can make a fresh start to isolate themselves from the competition? One way is to provide any of the strategies and costs back to customers in the form of higher prices. A good strategy is one that you place in 500m. Not so when they are competing with 10 other people who earn less than what they already have more experience in managing a nursery you. Alternatively, you can adopt an alternative strategy to strengthen confidence AI. What is AOS? Well, the AM gain the confidence to parents and do whatever is necessary to ensure that parents fully trust. There AO excellent strategy, because all parents want their children to the care of a physician of his choice. However, be warned. The creation of the trust, although free, can take considerable time and effort. Building trust with ways to be honest and sharing important information, as its consequences. His mission as a doctor is to protect and care for children, so do so. I'm sure many of us have heard stories about day care, where when the child falls, and counsels caregivers who are not visible without external bruising, not to inform their parents. "It's just with the parents? Therefore, the carer is abusing parents, the vulnerability of the DA and abusing his position as caregiver. Imagine buying a car from a car salesman, but the seller does not inform you that only 2 weeks, the car was actually in a car accident and was seriously damaged. If you need to know, you want to go back to buy him another car? I do not think AOT. Confidence is a huge competitive advantage because not only will you be able to provide better service to parents, it will be difficult for competitors to observe and imitate, at least in the short term.

I have seen (just by calling around) anything from 160 to 250 a week. The 250 a week is at one of those huge centers where it is more like an elementary school. I wonder what nanny's or in home daycare providers get? Any thoughts?

In care facilities for children can be found in almost every region, state and country at a price within your budget. Most companies are legitimate and authorized to operate at a profit. Some governments and religious organizations working to support non-profit public funds and charitable donations. All institutions of childcare, with the exception of a day care home a few small, must comply with requirements listed in the Day Nurseries Act. For this reason, day care by agencies are subject to frequent checks by the Ministry of Children and Youth, and home-care children are monitored by inspectors sent by the agencies. Parents looking for quality facilities and affordable child care can find a detailed list of care facilities in the telephone directory. An initial phone call to decide which institution best for you (the budget, distance, hours of work per adult children, etc.) and their son and went downtown to watch closely. While walking through the facility with a spouse or a family member or friend (always have someone with you for a second opinion) asked whether childcare develop educational programs for children and what these programs are. Also ensure that the institution is a legitimate institution authorized to protect against future problems. Other areas should investigate the parents are policy center. These include nursing and other services, the references of satisfied parents, aspects of security within and outside the center, the emergency procedures in case of fire, accidents, etc. and, last but not least, staff qualifications, training and experience. Some nurseries consider a high school diploma is required and the minimum qualification for their employees. Others require a child care nationally recognized, certified or diploma. However, skills are not enough. Parents of children enrolling in day care must obtain at least half the staff has previous experience in the field. Talk to other parents can often measure the quality of services provided by the institution. In addition, parent-teacher meetings and conversations with snatches the child from the day can also help. The agencies that regulate health facilities day in each state are listed in the telephone directory and can be contacted in connection with the administrative problems that can not be resolved through discussion. In nurseries are in great demand due to the rapid increase in families where both parents have a stable job. As a side effect of this demand, the supply of childcare for parents has also become an effective opportunity for self-employment for people who want to supplement their family income by working from home.

Developing a Daycare Business Plan

Posted by chris

Drawing up a business plan for your daycare business is mandatory, even if you intend to operate a small home based daycare. Business plans are key decision making tools. It sets the goals which the business hopes to achieve, reasons why it is achievable and the specific plans for reaching the goals. Most of the goals in business plans lead to financial goals such as profitability and/or turnover. Preparing a business plan draws on a wide range of knowledge from many different business disciplines such as finance, human resource management, operations management, and marketing and sales, etc. It may sound like a mammoth task but if you were to break it down into smaller parts, it is actually fairly simple.

Here are the elements which you should be addressing in your business plan:1. Regulatatory affecting daycare businesses

You will need to find out from your local authority about the legalities of operating a daycare facility such as licenses and safety regulations. In some instances, there are regulations on the maximum number of children you can provide care for as well as mandatory certifications which the owner would have to possess such as Degree/Diploma in Early Childhood Development or First Aid, CPR. 2. Managing human resource issues of your daycare centre

You’ll need to think about human resources issues to determine how many staff you may need, what sort of qualifications you would like them to possess and how much you intend to pay them.

If you are opting for a home based daycare business and will be the only person running the daycare operations, you will need to ensure that additional help is available on days when you are sick or if there is an emergency. 3. Day-to-day operations of your daycare

Next you need to think about how you intend to operate your daycare centre. You’ll need to workout operational issues such as operating hours, the services you intend to provide, curriculum development, course materials, the children's meals, contracts and agreements etc.

If you are operating as a home based daycare, you need to determine if there are any modifications to be made to your existing property such as fences, fire extinguisher, sharp edges, non-slip bathroom tiles etc? You should also consider purchasing liability insurance to protect your property against accidents. 4. Marketing your daycare business

You’ll decide how you intend to market your daycare services. The pricing strategies, the venue selection for your daycare and how you intend to promote your daycare services. Will it be through flyers, brochures, banners, website listings, etc. It also details how you intend to use the internet to promote your services with the rage in internet advertising. 5. Managing your daycare business finances

You will need to decide what your revenue model is. You need to sit down and list down your estimated expenses. Then, based on your intended charges, calculate how many children you will need to provide care for to breakeven. Anything more than that is profit.

Each of the plans should have a short term, medium term and long term duration. Developing a business plan not only helps you to be clearer about the direction of your business, it is also very motivating as you will know what your business will be like 3, 5 or even 10 years from now.

Happy planning!

Cares and worries, abandon them for 6 – 12 blissful hours each day. Why? Because daycares have now been established in easily accessible locations. You will find these daycare centers in almost every state and neighborhood for the sole purpose of relieving harassed, irritable, working parents of their charges.

Daycares seldom charge parents exorbitant sums of money for the care of their offspring (seldom being the key word), but after a few days of looking after a rambunctious toddler or two or three, all of whom you could cheerfully strangle at the end of the day, one just looks upon daycare as an invaluable, convenient service indispensable to one’s comfort.

Most daycares, even some of the home based daycares, are licensed. And all of them have policies regarding the number of children assigned per minder. They also have rules governing sickness, emergencies and child education. All daycares should have at least 5/6 satisfied referees (at least 3 of whom should be contacted prior to enrolment at the centre).

Other points that should be checked out to your satisfaction include staff training, educational activities for children, and safety of playing areas inside and outside the centre. And, last but not least, the daily/ weekly / monthly cost. Not withstanding all the cracks about expensive fees, you would understandably want a centre within your price range.

However, parents operating on a tight budget can also avail themselves of free daycare services provided by the government, churches and other institutions. These daycares operate on donations and charge parents only a small nominal fee, if at all. There’s rarely any difference in the quality of services/ facilities provided by non profit and profit based daycares.

There are also many reliable home daycares run by child care providers from their homes. Home based daycares generally care for a limited number of children at one time. They are supervised by a central local agency and have the care they are giving, monitored by an agency supervisor who visits their homes from time to time.

Daycares generally accept children anywhere from 3 and 6 years of age and care for their mental and physical education right up until they enter kindergarten. Some daycares even accept children who are younger than 3.

Finding a daycare that meets the individual needs of the child will always be helpful in the long run. These daycares help children settle in faster and keep them happy in their new environment. Happiness is of paramount importance in averting potential public relations disasters (like the tantrum of a child screaming about ugly old teachers who are just like Timmy, the frog).

I plan to be a SAHM and seeing daycare costs makes me think it's not worth working.

The daycare I would send my child to costs $680/month for one child and this is middle range price where I live. We plan to have another baby soon, so my daycare bill would be $1200-1400/month for two children.

I make $30,000/year, if I had two children I would pay $14,500 to $17,000 a year in daycare!

How can people afford daycare for more than one child? How do you afford it or did you stay at home because it was cheaper?

There’re many misconceptions about sales. Some individuals believe that a salesperson is born, not bred and feel that they are not cut out for sales. Whilst there is some truth in that, it doesn’t mean that a person who is not “born” a salesperson cannot be trained to be one. When someone is being categorized as a “born” salesperson, it simply means that that person is outgoing and is eloquent and will possibly find selling an easier task to master than a person who is more reserved. However, that said, with some preparations, it is still possible for a seemingly less “sale-sy person to do sales.

The second misconception is good product/services will sell itself. Whilst there is some truth in that, without a good sales pitch, even perfect products will have problems flying off the shelf.

When you are setting up a daycare business, chances are, you will be required to be the principal, teacher, salesperson and sometimes even the cleaner. At least for the first year. As a business owner, you will be required to wear multiple hats and expect to be good at all of it. You will naturally be the frontman of the company and will need to sell your daycare and its services to prospective parents.

Here are some of the basic requirements to be an effective salesperson for your daycare centre. 1. Know your services

First and foremost, you need to list down a fixed set of benefits which you wish to communicate to your potential customers. This is especially useful because you can carry this through, not only to your sales effort but your marketing as well. You can also use this to educate new staff who you’ve recruited. 2. Know your competitor

How much do you know about your daycare competitors ? Do you know how many daycare providers there are within a 500m radius? Do you know what are their pricing strategies? Do you know what they are offering in their curriculum? How do they keep their customers? What do their customers not like about their daycare centre?

You need to gather as much competitive information as possible so that you are able to identify what sets you apart from them. That will be your unique selling proposition when try to promote your daycare services to your potential customers. 3. Know your customers

You need to gather as much information about your customers as possible. Firstly, you need to know what is the demographics of your potential clients. If you are a new daycare centre, look at the client base of the neighbouring daycare centres. It’ll give you an idea of what to expect for your daycare centre.

You need to understand what your customers are looking for in a daycare provider. Are they price sensitive? Are they concerned about the curriculum you are offering? Are they looking at a new and clean facility?

Matching their demographics with what you can offer them, what do you think is the value which they can get from putting their children at your daycare centre. 4. Relate product

By understanding what your customers are looking for, you’ll be able to better cater your sales pitch to their needs. During the initial 3 minutes of the meeting, you should already know what they are looking for in a daycare provider. E. g. If it’s the physical facility that they are concerned about, bring them on a tour around your daycare centre and explain the maintenance policy of each area. If it’s the curriculum that they are looking at, start by sitting them down to show them what your daycare centre offers before bring them on a tour around the daycare centre.

Sales is like riding a bicycle, it become easier with practice. The key to success is lots of hardwork and perseverance.

Good luck!

Are you trying to organize care fundraising? If yes, then the first thing to do is decide what fundraising on the idea of using day care and use of the event. Nurseries ideas fundraising are important because the type of fundraising pre determined the success of failure of his effort. This is particularly true for fundraising Center, which are slightly different from other typical fundraising, since the main beneficiaries, the public and individuals involved in the effort are the children. And children will be a dominant factor in their efforts, like it or not. To help you in your efforts to raise funds in the nursery, here are some ideas you can use or develop. Have you thought about a sale? The most fundamental and most successful of all ideas of fundraising is selling. Sales of fundraising are popular because they are easy to do, even if you can not afford. Usually, in a sale, the organizer has to purchase items for sale. But since this is a fundraiser for day care, all you have to do is to find sponsors. You can do this by talking to various institutions in the community and ask them to provide the items for sale. For each item it sells, you receive some income. Obviously, this is not necessary to spend a penny. Another idea is that you can ask the parents of kindergarten children to donate baked goods for a bake sale. This works better than asking for donations. You can sell items donated by parents at a minimum price to attract customers (or lower prices to win quickly). You can even ask parents to sell their own products. Just be happy to assist you. You can use the nursery as the place of sale, or you can sell items door to door. Anyway, this work because, besides not need money in advance, children are very enthusiastic about this type of activity. Besides you can also take advantage of the major parental concern and interest: their children. You can sell pictures of their children with a marked price, or objects created by children. This may seem inappropriate, but parents will be only more than willing to help if they know it is to raise funds. Do not be intimidated by the events! Fundraising is also great fundraisers care, especially because children can still enter. You can turn the center into a mini-restaurant, where children can serve as a server. They can even "prepare" the food, a new parents certainly sufficient. This event can help to overcome the nursery raise funds, parents like the feeling of being supported by their children. There are ideas you can use and use for your effort fundraising. You must ensure that these ideas are fun, safe and adequate, and they can count on success.
