Question by Prom Queen!: preschool paper learning game?
for school i get a couple of pieces of paper and i have to make a learning game or puzzle or something learning for a preschooler i was just going to draw a picture then cut it into pieces for a puzzle but i want it to be good. any ideas!
thanks
oh and it could be learning colors or letters or words anything

Answer by leslie b
Are you familiar with the Memory game? It's the one where you turn over cards and try to find cards that match. Make your own. Use simple pictures. The easiest way to make sure they match would be to search simple images on google. You could make a dinosaur matching game, or use simple food pictures, or just different color shapes (ie match purple squares). Be careful with that color shapes one though, as it takes being able to grasp two attributes at the same time. However, you could individualize for children at different levels by making it just a color match for younger ones, or just a shape match. And have older children match both attributes, color and shape! If the children are old enough to recognize their own names, you can do it with their names. Or you could just use the first letter of their names. The pictures can be glued to card stock to make them sturdier and laminated or protected with clear contact paper.

The Value of a Daycare Learning Center with Voluntary Pre Kindergarten or VPK in Carrollwood, Tampa, 33625

Experts in the field of child development agree that the best childcare facility that parents can choose for their four year old pre school children in Carrollwood, Tampa, 33625 would be a daycare learning center that includes the Florida Voluntary Pre Kindergarten or VPK Program in its offerings. If you are looking for a childcare facility for your own pre school kids, perhaps you should also learn more about the value of such a daycare learning center for your children.

The free Voluntary Pre Kindergarten or VPK Program of the State of Florida was signed into law in January 2005. The state government developed the Program based on the established principle that children undergo the most important developments in the growth of their brains between the ages of four and five when they begin to establish the ability to have focused attention and to obey directions. Research has shown that a structured process of learning during this period best helps children to develop their abilities. The free Voluntary Pre Kindergarten or VPK Program of the State of Florida is, therefore, a structured pre school preparatory phase in which four year old children are taught all the skills they need in order to best learn language, pre-reading, pre-math and social interaction.

According to the same child development experts, children who have received high quality childhood education programs are later found to have comparatively more superior performance in school and higher levels of education. From the kindergarten level onwards, these children have more developed language and social skills, less behavioural problems and higher test scores. As students, they become strong readers who are highly motivated and have a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. Because of this, they are most likely to succeed in their respective fields.

The free Voluntary Pre Kindergarten or VPK Program of the State of Florida can be availed of during the school year or in the summer. If taken during the school year, it covers 540 instructional hours. If taken in the summer, though, the VPK Program lasts for only 300 instructional hours. Each VPK class held within the school year, usually as an after school program, has a maximum of 18 children. In the summer, each VPK class has a maximum of 10 children. In either case, there should be one teacher for every ten students.

To teach a free Voluntary Pre Kindergarten Program given within the school year, a teacher is required to hold an associate degree in child development. Alternatively, an associate degree in another field may be acceptable provided the teacher has taken six hours of credit on child development or early childhood education, as well as 480 hours of experience in child care or child education for kids up to the age of eight.

To teach a free Voluntary Pre Kindergarten Program given during the summer, , a teacher is required to hold a Florida Educator Certificate. Alternatively, the teacher could have a Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education, pre-kindergarten or primary education, preschool education, or family and consumer science. Of course, a master's degree in these fields would also qualify.

One of the daycare learning centers in Carrollwood, Tampa, 33625 that includes the Florida Voluntary Pre Kindergarten or VPK Program in its preschool offerings is A Brighter Future Child Development and Learning Center. Its childcare services are, however, not merely confined to preschool four year olds. The services offered by this Christian facility actually cover childcare and child development for children from 6 weeks to 11 years old. After the children finish the Voluntary Pre Kindergarten or VPK Program, they are further honed in the succeeding after school child development programs especially made for children in the K1, K2, K3, and K4 levels. It would, therefore, be good for you to check out A Brighter Future Child Development and Learning Center.

Choosing a Daycare Learning Center with Voluntary Pre Kindergarten or VPK in Carrollwood, Tampa, 33625

The free Voluntary Pre Kindergarten or VPK Program is the medium by which the preschool children of Florida are taken care of by the state government. In line with this program, the top daycare learning centers have enhanced their child development programs by integrating the VPK preschool preparatory program in them. The state government of Florida has further developed the program with the issuance of the periodically updated Florida Voluntary Pre Kindergarten (VPK) Education Standards. The goal of this document is to be a guide for all educators, including those in daycare learning centers, and parents in order to maximize the concerted efforts toward preschool child development. There is therefore no reason why any parent in Carrollwood, Tampa, 33625 should not choose a daycare learning center with the Voluntary Pre Kindergarten or VPK Program.

Another document issued by the state government of Florida to serve as a complementary material to the Florida Voluntary Pre Kindergarten (VPK) Education Standards of 2008 is called "It's Okay to Play in VPK." This is a flipbook that aims to instruct educators and parents in how to set up the most effective teaching environments that can help the children learn the skills offered in the VPK Program. Those skills are identified and defined by the Florida Voluntary Pre Kindergarten (VPK) Education Standards of 2008. The two documents can be used together by educators and parents for the benefit of preschool children. Parents can also use these documents as checklists against which they could assess the features offered by those daycare learning centers that have integrated the free Voluntary Pre Kindergarten or VPK Program into their own programs.

The eight developmental domains covered by the VPK program are specified in the Florida Voluntary Pre Kindergarten (VPK) Education Standards of 2008 as Approaches to Learning, Language and Communication, Mathematical and Scientific Thinking, Social Studies and the Arts, Social and Emotional Development, Physical Health and Motor Development and Emergent Literacy.

Scientific research has proven that structured play is the best means through which children learn most effectively. According to the "It's Okay to Play in VPK" flipbook, the free Voluntary Pre Kindergarten or VPK Program uses different types of play activities to teach children the eight developmental domains of child development. These activities are done at home, in the community and in the classroom.

The health and joyfulness of children should be given priority in daycare learning centers as the children are involved in the different activities of structured play that teach the eight developmental domains. This is asserted in the Florida Voluntary Pre Kindergarten (VPK) Education Standards of 2008. The structured activities should be equally divided between active learning and play and between indoor activities and outdoor activities. Teachers of the VPK Program should be friendly, kind, calm and patient.

Also specified in the Florida Voluntary Pre Kindergarten (VPK) Education Standards of 2008 are the requirements for the facilities of daycare learning centers that carry the VPK Program. They should have ample space with equipment that are child-safe, child friendly, clean and in good working condition. There should be an extensive children's library, a dramatic play center, a children's art center, a music center, a sand table, a water table and a play area with educational toys.

A Brighter Future Child Development and Learning Center is a Christian facility in Carrollwood, Tampa, 33625 that offers child development services and childcare for kids from 6 weeks to 11 years old. Its daycare program for preschool children includes the Voluntary Pre Kindergarten or VPK Program. It also has after school child development programs for K, 1, 2, 3, 4 children.

How Critical Thinking Supplies Enhance Learning?

Each day of our lives we become exposed to things that hinder our ability to think creatively and rationally. Critical thinking supplies are invented so that educators and parents both can help their students and children to think clearly, accurately and fairly. Additionally, critical thinkers are usually better prepared to those who lack this ability. Just because your child is intelligent or has greater knowledge does not mean he is decisive and rational. Critical thinking is about how our children can use their intelligence and knowledge to reach objective and rationale viewpoints. Critical supplies engage children in both life and learning. Its real value lies in the fact that it improves their understanding of the world they live in, while it works to develop personal skills that will help them meet with success throughout their lives.

Children are not born with the power to think critically

Children are not born with the power to think critically nor do they develop this ability naturally beyond survival-level thinking. Critical thinking is a learned ability that must be taught. The first step to let the child become a critical thinker is developing his proper attitude. Such as attitude embodies open mindedness, intellectual and free thinking, high motivation, and healthy skepticism. Your child must have a natural curiosity to further one's understanding and be motivated to put in the necessary work sufficient to evaluate the multiple sides of issues. This may require your child to ask many questions. A critical thinker cannot be lazy.

At the heart of critical thinking is the ability to recognize, construct, and evaluate arguments. The word argument may be misleading to some. In the context of critical thinking, an argument means the presentation of a reason to support a conclusion.

Children learn from one another as they share ideas

Children often create pictures in their minds about past experiences and the situations they imagine with the critical thinking supplies. These images are a form of creative thinking. They also learn from one another as they share ideas and solve problems together. Listen to what your child says when they are engaged in creative play. If they are talking from the perspective of the role they are playing, and communicating with other children about the make-believe situation, they are playing at a safe level. Knowing these skills gives you a framework for observing children's play and deciding when and how to improve their knowledge and skills.

The critical thinking supplies aim to inspire a love of thinking while developing important critical thinking skills in your child. These creative supplies will inspire and encourage middle school students to continue practicing higher order thinking in high school, college and beyond.

Mark Hamery invites you to take a look at Ace Education Supplies (Ace Catalog) where you will find an assortment of critical thinking supplies, preschool supplies, teacher supply and much more.
